Whitley Fund for Nature is a UK charity. We have channelled £20 million to 200 conservation leaders in 80 countries across the Global South, benefiting wildlife, landscapes and people.
WFN's Winner Network training reaches Latin America
In August 2023, we held our second in-person Regional Winner Training, this time taking place at IPÊ in Brazil. The training week gave 13 past winners the chance to meet other experienced conservation leaders from the same region.

WFN's top prize is awarded annually to a Whitley Award alumnus who has also received Continuation Funding. This laddered support allows successful conservation solutions to be scaled up; Shivani is a Kenyan conservationist whose work with her team of Samburu warriors, elders and women has helped the local lion population rise to a 15-year high.
